Agreed! These devices are a part of children’s lives today whether we like it or not, so we might as well be using them for good. "Mobile devices aren't going to solve our education crisis, but they are another tool in the tool-kit that, if used properly, can enable meaningful learning experiences. I am a parent and love teaching kids myself (tuitions) and I have experienced students losing interest mid way during teaching them. They have always come up with an excuse saying its very boring...but then I can’t just simply stop teaching… but probably teach them lessons differently. So if video lessons or interactive studies makes it fun for them then be it. I am saying this from my personal experiences so it might differ.Initially even I used to find it irrelevant but in this changing times education has taken a leap. I recently visited big bazaar and bought a product called Myeduworld, it is an HCL product. I must say, I had been waiting for it too long. It offers similar preloaded educational content mapped to course curriculum for classes 1-10. Now, it has been 3 weeks, since my kids have been using MyEduworld and I have seen the difference and progress they are making, it’s tremendous.So I wont say educational apps or smartphones is a must here but it definitely helps kids to enjoy their subjects.http://bit.ly/WqFggY
